School Food Plan
The School Food Standards were introduced by the Government on the 12th July 2013. These are set of rules which tell us which food groups to serve and how many portions per week. They also state that all catering providers must be endorsed by an independent assessor. Derbyshire has chosen the Soil Association Catering Mark Food for Life, in which we have silver for all our primary settings (7 with gold) and bronze for secondary schools. Annual inspections ensure that we keep to the strict standards that are set.
You can be assured that the meals served to your children are planned to precision whilst still being nutrionally balanced.
