To access Max & Min´s Online Club you are required to get permission from a parent, teacher or guardian. This is because some of the activities in these clubs require you to submit information about yourself, for example to enter a competition.

About Max & Min : This page contains information about the mascot and what they represent. From time to time, you may be asked to send in your own ideas, stories or poems about the character or enter special competitions. All of these activities will be conducted with your online safety in mind.

Competition: This page will have regular competitions for you to enter. Competition prizes will be awarded through schools. For specific rules for each competition please refer to the competition rules on the competition page.

Tell Max & Min : This page has been set-up for educational reasons, to help you learn about email communication. You will be asked a question by Max & Min and when you complete the form are either sent an email response by Max & Min or if you do not provide an email address the response from Max & Min can be displayed on the website page. To see how any personal thoughts collected from you will be used, please read "What we do with the information you provide".

If you have been given the password to Max & Min´s Online Club in school, your teacher or headteacher has given their permission for you to take part in all activities in the club area. If you do not have this password you need to ask permission from your teacher, parent or guardian and then complete the website form stating who gave their permission. If your parent, guardian or teacher would like to see more information about the activities in the club area of the website they can do so by reading the Privacy Policy in the "For Parents and Teachers" section.

The information being collected on this website will only be seen by the producers of My School Lunch, the provider of school meals in your school, Southampton City Council and when requested your school staff. Any information or opinions you supply will not be passed to other organisations or used to contact you other than for the purposes of running the website, such as an email from Max & Min in response to your answer or to run the website competition. Data you supply is for educational reasons and any opinions supplied will be used to help improve this website or the school meals service provided in your school. If you no longer wish to be a member of Max & Min´s Club please ask your parent/teacher/guardian to email us using the Contact Us form in the parents section of the website.

Whilst you are browsing the My School Lunch website, a cookie ( small computer file) is stored on your computer in order that we can identify your session and, in the case of the Online Club, grant you access. Your web browser destroys this cookie after 20 minutes of inactivity, or when you close the web browser application. At no stage is any personal information stored in a cookie, or any information that would allow us to identify you as an individual.

Statistics based on the overall opinion of your views on accessing the online club may be shared with other local authorities or suppliers. This will not state your individual opinion but an overall opinion of everyone and will only be used for improving the website and the school meals service in your schools.

This website provides links to a number of external websites. My School Lunch is not in any way responsible for the way in which such websites may use your information or content of such websites.
